Inside a Exhaust - Muffler

The following photos were taken of a VW exhaust - muffler manufactured by "Kadron".
Although not an orignal I think this is typical of what they look like.
This exhaust was given to me by my good friend "John B".

If you have any queries about anything here email me - Grahame

Well the outside first!
An early exhaust system - the muffler, tail pipes and warm air channels.

Look closely down this outlet and you can just see the outlet end of the preheater pipe.
(that's a rust hole on the left of the muffler)

View of the left hand end of the muffler. I have sectioned through the left hand outlet to show the location of the outlet end of the preheater tube.
The position will not be exact, as I had cut off the rear half of the muffler with an angle grinder, and I had a few attempts to hold everything together with my left hand!
